Supply Accountant

Derby, Derbyshire

As part of a small Supply Finance team, the Supply Controller and is responsible for providing support to the Site Leadership and Management teams in the delivery of the key financial requirements to drive the performance of the site.  

•    Coordination and delivery of month end timetable
•    Carry out monthly Balance Sheet reviews
•    Evaluation of related Capital Expenditure
•    Carry out financial appraisals for Capital projects to ensure that all payback objectives have been met
•    Preparation and submission of Quarterly forecasts into Commercial team to support submissions process into CHQ
•    Analysis and management of site conversion costs
•    Analysis of material variances (Price Variance, Usage, Bill of Material)
•    Supporting the financial preparation of the annual plan in co-ordination with key stakeholders
•    Review and challenge and contribute to all Gross Margin Improvement projects
•    Actively identifying and leading cost savings initiatives through the business to deliver results
•    Work with key global markets developing NPD/EPD costings to ensure viability of product launches
•    Educated to Degree level or similar
•    Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant (preferably CIMA; possibly ACCA) possessing 1-5 years’ experience in an FMCG or similarly high-volume manufacturing organisation
•    Experience\working knowledge of key manufacturing topics
•    Proven experience of leading a project team
•    Strong IT skills, covering SAP and Excel
•    Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process
