Summary

TMA is mainly responsible for helping drive the PLAN excellence Width, Depth & Efficiency measures for their respective brand/ channel

The Trade Marketing Associate plays a key role is assisting the TMM within the Country Sales team, driving excellence in store (4P) execution across key customers/key accounts

Scope & Dimension of the Role

The role requires frequent interaction with the Sales field force, Marketing, Finance and Supply teams. The Trade Marketing Associate reports to the Trade Marketing Manager, who reports into the HOTM .

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Prepare Category-Channel files, Promotion consumption files by month and quarter for analysing Category growth. Category-sales forecast vs actual numbers for regular and promotion stocks.
  • Innovation deployment planning and monitoring: Activity/listing briefs and tracking of listings, stock levels, distribution etc.
  • Communication and timely execution of all central/local promotions to all gulf markets by coordinating with the brand team, supply chain and logistics.
  • Analyse Market Share by Sales Channels (Modern and General Trade) as per Ac Nielsen data, and EPOS to highlight distribution gaps in respective channels, analyse competition.
  • Support TMM in CATMAN projects- Understanding Presence and Placement guideline for overall category and build Planograms at a store/ channel level.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Operational

  • Interact with key stakeholders (i.e. KAM, Finance, DB, Supply etc.) during planning and deployment.
  • Manage the costing of trade promotions (Avengers) periodically, or as needed
  • Work with the Trade Marketing Manager for calculation of the Return on Investment resulting from trade promotion activities.
  • Monitor and track POSM spend, provide suggestive action on optimizing spends. Raise PO and track payments.

Key Challenges

  • Strong understanding of the criticality of 4P planning and performance.
  • Effective monitoring of the Activations and Deployment plan, reporting variances and suggesting corrective action required.
  • Tracking of Big Bet deliverables, in store executions and monitoring the impact of these on overall brands/ segments (IMS, Shares, Sell out).

         Conduct market visits and retail audits to understand market conditions, brand positioning, competitor activity and  identify issues and opportunities to monitor and suggest merchandising equipment

Professional Qualification & Experience

  • Educated to minimum bachelor’s degree level ideally in a business-related subject - from a recognized University
  • Minimum 3 years FMCG experience in Sales/ Trade Marketing/ Marketing/ Operations and Key Account Management
