QA Systems Associate Manager



Job Description

•    Provides support for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures that ensure compliance with policies.
•    Facilitates and monitors quality improvements to the manufacturing processes and ensures all relevant processes are followed as established.
•    Support audits and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings with auditing groups.
•    Lead Quality Systems initiatives and projects to remain compliant with regulatory requirements and present information as required during audits, investigations and management requests.
•    Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.
•    Supervise Quality Assurance (QA) functional groups and support continuous improvement projects.
•    Responsibilities include leading and supervising various QA functional areas responsible for creating and maintaining GLIMS Quality Documents, Sample Control, and associated QA technical functions as assigned.
•    Role to include providing Quality Assurance technical support with new projects, formulations, supporting internal and external manufacturing.
•    Provide technical assistance with quality tools, statistical analysis to resolve issues and further Quality improvement.
•    Participate in cross functional teams as a quality representative. Lead cross functional teams in Quality related investigations and develop corrective I preventive actions.
•    Engage in tracking and providing metrics for internal and compliance requirements.
•    Assist in securing information for investigation, root cause, preventative action and closure of non-conformities. 



•    Bachelor’s degree in a science field with a strong math background.
•    Candidate must have good computer skills with knowledge of GLIMS, SAP and technical support software.  Able to apply basic statistical knowledge.
•    Candidate should have a minimum of 2 years successful previous supervisory experience or experience successfully leading others through team projects. Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to direct and relate to others. Lead independent technical QA roles as a cohesive interacting unit.
•    Candidate should have knowledge of Infant formula manufacturing operations and be familiar with Quality concepts to assist in problem solving, define root cause issues and developing workable resolutions.  Knowledge of HACCP a plus.
•    Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/ projects simultaneously. Demonstrates ability to work both independently and as part of a team
•    Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills to multiple departments and levels of management.
•    Knowledge of or willingness to receive training in Aseptic production & Better Process Control School – Low Acid Canned Food certification
•    Ability to travel domestically/internationally 5-10%
