Sr Brand Trade Marketing Manager BNL

For our Marketing Team in the BNL region we are looking for a Sr Brand Trade Marketing Manager to report to our Head of CTM. Ideally, you will already have seen both worlds of Marketing and Sales and would like to evolve into a role where you can use these skills and develop your managerial abilities with a dynamic team!

Key Responsibilities


  • Create short and long-term category strategies based on a thorough understanding of market conditions and consumer habits/trends.
  • Drive category growth managing channel tensions by running transversal analysis & building story together with marketing, establishing action plans for sales and ensuring in-store implementation
  • Interaction point and liaison between the Marketing and Sales Teams, coordinating and aligning promo strategy & NPD launches to ensure a cohesive and complete customer marketing plan
  • Contribute to the development and execution of effective 4P strategy across BNL to maximize profitability, translating brand marketing strategies into trade marketing strategies and actions.
  • Develop/understand category best practices in BNL and around the globe, and ensure transfer of knowledge to sales for implementation.  
  • Lead development and execution of a compelling trade story and supportive materials, including customer events organization.
  • Develop, improve & update business management tools to pilot brands performance (Vision Store, National Promo Guidelines, Profitability Trackers and Distribution Follow-up…)
  • Manage, grow and develop a team of one junior and one intern

You'll succeed because...


  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience within FMCG, ideally combining marketing and trade marketing/category management. 
  • Demonstrable high commercial acumen and strategic thinking. 
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of quantitative as well as qualitative information, interpret & construct straightforward plans.
  • Confident of communicating and influencing at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter and ability to take initiatives and drive them forward. 
  • Strong knowledge of Syndicated Data (e.g. Nielsen Nitro/Answers).
  • Advanced usage of Excel, PowerPoint, and basic Spaceman.
  • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills. 
  • 1st experience in people management.
  • Fluent in English – Dutch and/or French would be a plus.
