The Global Safety Assurance (GSA) Department is a key function ensuring Reckitt creates and manages product safety risk assessments across the organisation.  This will ensure Reckitt always has the consumer at the heart of all safety activity. Responsible for the safety of all innovative and marketed over the counter (OTC) medicines, cosmetics, and medical devices, driving safety by design, and ensuring the application of risk assessment and safety compliance across the business.

The Global Safety Assurance (GSA) Department is a key function ensuring Reckitt creates and manages product safety risk assessments across the organisation.  This will ensure Reckitt always has the consumer at the heart of all safety activity.

 

You’ll succeed because… 
…you’re qualified BSc and preferably a higher qualification in toxicology or related discipline with relevant product safety assessment experience. Strong knowledge and understanding of nonclinical drug development requirements from a safety and regulatory toxicology perspective, with an appreciation and understanding of the development of OTC products and medical devices. Proven experience in leading the safety assessment of Consumer Healthcare products and ingredients. Responsibilities include:

•    The role will involve being part of a team (6-8) of dedicated technical experts responsible for conducting human (toxicology) risk safety assessments of Reckitt Health products, to ensure the delivery of high quality, safety documentation and programmes to meet Reckitt safety requirements. 
•    partnering with R&D, Medical, Regulatory and Pharmacovigilance functions to ensure high-quality toxicological risk assessments are conducted to support the safe development of Reckitt Healthcare products and brands such as Nurofen, Strepsils, Mucinex, Lemsip, Gaviscon and Fybogel.
•    Global responsibilities by working in partnership with other safety managers to represent and fulfil the responsibilities of the Global Safety Assurance Function.
•    Oversight of safety language labelling on pack and providing support to ensure high-quality safety and nonclinical regulatory documentation is prepared to support the registration of new Reckitt Healthcare products.
•    Responsibilities will also include responding to safety queries, authority information requests and supporting risk assessments as needed and being accountable and responsible for the training and mentoring of toxicologists to continuously develop their technical expertise and Reckitt safety led competencies.
