About the role
The role will primarily supervise the Accounts Receivable (AR) analysis team to achieve optimum team performance in the areas of AR transaction processing and accounting, DSO/ AR reporting and credit risk monitoring. The role shall also monitor the implementation of OTC related internal control and business compliance standards and identify opportunities to enhance control within the AR/ OTC environment.
Your responsibilities
Business Partnering
1. Works closely with Trade Sales to address order processing concerns related to overdue AR, payment or DOI.
2. Monitors status of accruals for approved promotional programs & coordinates with Trade Marketing Group or Field Sales on issue resolution related to trade promotions.
3. Ensures reconciliation of AR.
4. Aligns with Commercial Controller team any identified trade promotion claims/ expenses.
5. Collaborates with Controllers team.
7. Provides feedback to Supply Chain LOD on Third Party Logistics operational issues
8. Ensures timely dispatch notification to Third Party Logistics.
AR Accounting/ AR Transaction Processing
1. Performs monthly reconciliation of A/R subsidiary ledger records with the controlling general ledger account and investigates any variance.
2. Reviews AR floaters for claimed trade promotions; analyzes adequacy of trade promo accruals for AR floaters and recommends additional trade promotions accrual, as needed
3. Issue collection and follow-up letters to trade accounts and adhere to escalation process, as needed.
5. Reviews Manual Payment Requests (MPRs) and customer billings.
6. Validates deductions/ claims for returns/
7. Provides regular management reports on AR:
8. Performs analysis of AR for the monthly Balance Sheet review and quarterly flux analysis and AR movement.
Implement Other Internal Control and Business Compliance Standards
Credit Risk Monitoring
The experience we're looking for
· University Degree in accounting, business administration or other relevant subject matter
· Preferably, Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor
· At least four years work experience in A/R management from a fast-consumer goods company
· Experienced in SAP or similar ERP platform and advanced knowledge in MS Excel
· Knowledgeable in BOBJ
· Analytical, hardworking, patient and very keen on details
· Excellent work ethics, highly organized and with the ability to work under pressure
· Strong problem solver
· Good organizational and time management skills
· Strong communication skills and effective listening/feedback skills
· Passion for the business, the integrity topic and possesses an impeccable integrity track record
