What You'll Be Doing

  • Oversee the complete inbound and outbound transportation operations for the Reckitt Canada business
  • Assist procurement team in carrier negotiations
  • Daily communication with carriers ensuring KPI’s are met
  • Oversee the relationship with carrier management company holding them accountable for carrier communications, KPI’s including on-time service agreements, routinely verify/adjust route guides and plans and adjusting to minimize overage charges
  • Work with customs brokers to clear shipments and provide information commercial invoices and tariffs
  • Create financial plans and budgets for current and subsequent year with the assistance of the finance team
  • Assist in warehouse operations in relation to transportation; i.e yard management, inbound appointments and priority loads
  • Communicate effectively with ocean carriers and freight forwarders on inbounds volumes, container allocation and shortages, accessorial verification and approvals
  • Create, plan and execute costs saving projects and initiatives achieving yearly savings targets
  • Work with cross-functional teams assisting in transportation related functions

Is This You?

  • 4-5 Years of experience in the Transportation Industry, working directly with carriers and route planning within Canada
  • Carrier/3PL Relationship Management Experience is mandatory
  • Customs/Cross Border experience is an Asset
  • Warehouse Operations is an asset
  • SAP Experience is as asset
  • Ocean Carrier/ Freight Forwarder Experience is an Asset
  • 4-5 Years of experience in the Transportation Industry, working directly with carriers and route planning within Canada
  • Carrier/3PL Relationship Management Experience is mandatory
  • Customs/Cross Border experience is an Asset
  • Warehouse Operations is an asset
  • SAP Experience is as asset
  • Ocean Carrier/ Freight Forwarder Experience is an Asset
