•    The Global Safety Assurance (GSA) Department is a key function of R&D ensuring Reckitt creates and manages product safety risk assessments across the organisation.
•    Responsible for the safety of all innovative and marketed products, driving safety by design and ensuring the application of risk assessment and safety compliance across the business. 
•    Serve as a Safety (Toxicology) leader within GSA and for key stakeholders within Reckitt, with regards to the assessment of toxicology and safety trends that may impact Reckitt Over-the-Counter (OTC) products and the medicinal portfolio.
•    Provide strategic and Snr management support to innovation health programmes intended for market in North America and provide senior management support to teams of toxicologists/safety assessors whilst supporting the wider Technical Excellence functions in GSA.
•   Will ensure toxicological and risk assessment input to support the product development of Reckitt OTC and medicinal brands such as Mucinex, Gaviscon, Nurofen and Biofreeze.  
•   Will work alongside multidisciplinary functions to contribute to the development of safe sustainable Reckitt Products.
•    Responsible for Snr management oversight of a dedicated team of managers and toxicologists supporting Reckitt medicinal products
•    Part of the management team within the Global Safety Assurance Department, to provide appropriate governance and oversight to ensure delivery of timely, high quality safety output from your team 
•    Credible subject matter expert within the safety organisation with strong business acumen and an in-depth technical knowledge of consumer healthcare products
•    Follow scientific and regulatory development in the field of product safety by active participation in relevant external bodies and meetings as appropriate to pro-actively address and implement new knowledge and standards where applicable
Skills / Experience 
•    BSc with preferably a higher qualification in toxicology or related discipline
•    Strong experience in serving as a nonclinical toxicologist and/or safety representative with experience in consumer product safety assessment
•    Display excellent communication, good business acumen and interpersonal skills, to deliver the appropriate safety expertise
•    Strong knowledge and understanding of nonclinical drug development requirements from a safety and regulatory toxicology perspective, with an appreciation and understanding of the development of OTC products, particularly US market requirements
