An exciting dynamic opportunity to create substantial long term incremental value for Reckitt Nutrition, by generating opportunities for expansion into strategic areas of interest, addressing category problems that cannot be solved with current capabilities or using existing partners.

You would be part of the Global Corporate Development function, a team spread across the world, who operate at the heart of the global headquarters, shaping the future of Reckitt.

In this role, no two days are the same: connecting with banks and large corporates one day, and emerging tech start-ups the next.

Your Responsibilities in This Role:

  • Work collaboratively with the Nutrition business unit to develop and refine the strategy for growth in strategic areas of interest, across organic (early-stage external R&D partnerships) and inorganic (M&A&D – mergers, acquisitions and divestments) routes.  
  • Identify potential new partners with aligned interests, from emerging start-ups to well-established multinationals, by having an outward view of the Nutrition partner market.
  • Meet with partners to align common commercial and scientific interests - position Reckitt as an attractive partner.
  • Facilitate the connection of Nutrition senior leadership with the counterparty, to best position Reckitt to the partner. Be the point-person with the partner in case of questions.
  • Act as the key conduit with the leadership team on active Business Development projects, updating on progress, providing the bigger picture & escalating blocking points.
  • Guide project team through the partnership process
  • Manage relationship with partners’ BD & and commercial teams on active projects.
  • Play a key role in deal execution together with colleagues in M&A & Transaction Execution functions. Handover to category commercial and technical functions to launch, with a resource plan.

Qualifications

  • *At Reckitt there is currently no strict requirement on number of days in the office.  Expect the role to involve remote working, however you would need to be based within commuting distance of our office in Parsippany, NJ to allow for commuting where required dependent on business need*
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant area
  • 8-10+ years' experience
  • Background in Nutrition Category preferred
  • Experience with external partnerships required
  • Knowledge of MA&D (Mergers, Acquisitions, & Divestments) preferred
  • Excellent project management & organizational skills
  • Great communicator - comfortable presenting/pitching to a senior audience
  • Able to build credibility quickly w/internal & external partners
  • Love a challenge and thrive on a fast-paced, ever-changing role!
  • ~25% travel [in future] to meet with partners
