The role of the Assistant Controller is to assist the Plant Controller, with upcoming planning and forecasting, working closely with Reckitt Global Supply Finance team, Salt Lake City site functional stakeholders, NA Finance and Supply Leadership. Additionally, as a member of Salt Lake City site Finance team, it is expected to support various financial process at the site including financial reporting, standard costing, and business partnership to cross functional teams. This job requires excellent understanding of manufacturing finance processes relating to planning, forecasting and actuals analysis, ability to work effectively with cross functional stakeholders, as well as strong project management skills to meet strict deadlines.

 

  • As part of Salt Lake Supply Finance team and NA Supply Finance team, gain excellent understanding of the Supply Finance processes and subsequently contribute towards process improvements
  • Engage with cross functional stakeholders and build understanding of Manufacturing processes at site Assist Plant Controller on financial reporting, budget/forecast preparation, variance analysis and preparation of scorecards/KPI dashboards.
  • Support various financial priorities including standard costing, month end closing, journal booking, system submission of results, fixed asset control, inventory cycle counting, write-off assessment/provisioning, balance sheet reconciliations/analysis and internal/external audit process.
  • Provide finance business partnership to Salt Lake site cross functional stakeholders including costing & Bill of Material analysis, production volume reporting/tracking, monthly/weekly financial results flash, productivity project evaluation/tracking, and Capital spend approval/reporting.
  • Work as the productivity manager ensuring timely/frequent update to NA Finance and Supply Leadership, seeking feedback and consultation at appropriate stage gates, scoping and communicating risks and working on mitigation actions.
  • Create and present Ad-hoc analysis to the leadership team.

.  Qualifications

  • 4+  years’ work experience within Finance / Accounting.   Will consider individuals with 2+ years of experience if they have  CPA or qualify for CFA
  • Ability to work independently and with limited instructions/guidance
  • Comfortable working with limited information and under ambiguous scenarios
  • Experience in financial planning tools (Cognos TM1, E-planning, Anaplan etc) and reporting tools (Hyperion Financial Management, Cognos BI, SAP/BW, ProClarity, Insight for JDE etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting concepts, financial planning and reporting
  • Experience as a project team member on system implementation/upgrades is desirable but not essential.
