IT&D Director, Media & Advertising Tech & Digital

Role purpose


IT&D Director - Media & Advertisting Tech & Digital is responsible for all Product Lines across Media & Audience activation, measurement & insights as well as consumer data initiatives. She/He is ensuring that the end-to-end value for each Product is delivered from ideation to retirement. This role is responsible for designing, building and maintaining products with a robust understanding of all her/his functional areas, aligning product strategy to the wider business & functional goals. As a cross-functional team leader, she/he is ensuring alignments of product requirements between her/his teams, business stakeholders. The person on this position will act as a single senior point of contact for the marketing and eRB leaders to reduce complexity and foster strong relationships. She/he is responsible to translate both business requirements into technology solutions and explain complex IT solutions to non-technical people and partners. This role is accountable for the financial performance of Marketing and Advertising Product Group, directly reporting all budgetary decisions to the Product Stream Lead (line manager).

Responsibilities and expectations



  • implement short term and long term high-level Product Group Strategy and Vision, alongside roadmaps 
  • apply product management discipline to the full scope of accountability and to each product within Media &Advertising product group and proactively manage product life cycle
  • continuously improve through innovative and data driven practices. Oversee the long-term business capability automation and digitalization roadmap for the business outcomes the products and the product group deliver
  • maintain of an IT&D Governance process that enables prioritisation
  • ensure clear decision-making within the Product Group, including decisions on the Product Group IT&D budget  
  • ensure that the integration between products and platforms works
  • supervise security compliance and risk-management of all in-flight projects within scope


You'll succeed, because you have:

  • experience in media, data and measurement with an in-depth understanding of platforms (AdTech, MarTech, CDPs) and operations (AdOps, Audience…)
  • strong understanding of emerging software engineering methodologies and principles
  • education in Business discipline or Computer Science to degree level, or equivalent experience 
  • experience in the digital technology and/or software development space, with at least 5 years in a senior management position
  • experience in implementing Agile standards in complex, global and matrix organizations
  • excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain and communicate a complex, multi-year strategic initiative and roadmap through a simple narrative, easy to understand for non-technical audiences
  • experience in managing and growing cross-functional teams of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects in a complex and matrix organization
  • effectively conveys complex and political issues to diverse audiences
  • proven track record of taking initiative and implementing innovative solutions;
  • ability to build agile and high performing squads that can deliver real business impact in short period of time
  • experience in creating and sustaining an innovative culture
  • experience in managing demand from various parts of FMCG, Pharma or Retail industry
