Responsibilities                                                
· This position will be dedicated primarily to supporting the evolving and highly dynamic Hygiene business team, which covers the China market territory and is a central focus of the company’s local and global management as a key growth driver. 
· The role will be responsible for providing both day-to-day and strategic legal support to the mainland China, to ensure the continued and sustainable growth of Reckitt Hygiene’s growth-orientated businesses.  It will be an important addition to the small but highly dedicated Legal function in Greater China and will work with different levels of management functional leaders and mangers, including leaders from R&D, Regulatory and Global Brand Protection team in Amsterdam.     
· Ongoing responsibilities include reviewing, drafting and advising on contracts, very timely and efficient review of marketing materials for legal compliance, advising marketing and sales administration on activities relating to e-commerce channels and the trade, providing legal advice and support with respect to compliance program management, identifying, anticipating and mitigating legal risks to the company’s business in China.
· Support post-market surveillance and challenges after product launch.
· Manage IP issues, including preliminary IP research, authorization to customers and platforms.
· Monitor law and regulation changes and provide assessment for business team.
· Assist Head of Legal in developing and implementing China legal strategy and managing admin matters.
· Assist Head of Legal in managing ad-hoc projects.
     
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities                                        
· Minimum 5 years PQE with law degree and license to practice.
· Professional legal drafting skills, including contract drafting in English and Chinese.
· Fluent spoken and written English – there will be daily interaction with expat personnel in English.
· In-house experience with a company in the healthcare, food or FMCG industries is preferred, but candidates from red circle law firms who have strong experience, commercial acumen and a desire to move closer to business management solution-providing and decision-making are very welcome to apply, especially if they have been closely supporting such companies and/or e-commerce companies.
· Some expertise and experienced in dealing with new product development and (or) advertising and marketing law.  They do not need to be an expert in such areas but must have some knowledge and experience relevant to – and a strong interest in – these areas.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, be articulate and concise in both verbal and written communications in Mandarin and English, with the confidence and ability to work independently and as part of a team;
· Being comfortable in ambiguity, while consistently demonstrating good judgment, analytical skills, high integrity and confidence in expressing themselves to adapt to the rapidly evolving industry and regulatory environment.
