An exciting opportunity to create substantial long-term incremental value for Reckitt, through generating expansion into strategic areas of interest and addressing category problems that can’t be solved with current capabilities or using existing partners. 
You would be part of the Global Corporate Development function who operate at the heart of the global headquarters, shaping the future of Reckitt. 
In this role, no two days are the same: connecting with banks and large corporates one day, and emerging tech start-ups the next. 

Roles & Responsibilities
•    To work collaboratively with the Health business unit as a key business partner helping to refine and deliver the growth strategy in strategic areas of interest, exploring both R&D partnerships and inorganic opportunities (mergers, acquisitions, divestments). 
•    To have an outward view of the Health landscape to identify potential new partners from emerging start-ups to well-established multinationals with aligned interests.
•    To manage prompt assessment and triage of inbound acquisition opportunities efficiently and decisively.
•    To define the approach to new partners and cultivate strategic relationships within target opportunity areas, positioning Reckitt as an attractive partner. Meet with partners to align common commercial and scientific interest. 
•    To facilitate the connection of senior leadership with the counterparty, to best position RB to the partner. Be the point-person in case of questions.
•    To act as the key conduit with the leadership team on active Business Development projects, updating on progress, providing the bigger picture, escalating blocking points. 
•    To guide the project team through the partnership process including assessment and due diligence.
•    To manage the relationship with partners’ Business Development and commercial teams on active projects. 
•    To input into overall deal construct & negotiation to find mutually beneficial deal scopes and anticipate areas of risk
•    To play a key role in deal execution together with colleagues in M&A & Transaction Execution functions.

You'll succeed because...


  • Have previous experience in and passion for Consumer Healthcare
  • Are experienced in commercial partnerships or deals – be that through a marketing, R&D, business development, banking, venture capital, strategic consulting, or others. Specific knowledge of M&A is ideal but not essential.
  • Are curious with a strategic mindset, focused on new solutions, growing the pie equitably, and problem solving.
  • Have excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Can build credibility quickly, with multiple internal and external counterparties.
  • Are great communicators, confident presenting or pitching to a senior audience.
  • Love a challenge and thrive on a fast-paced and ever-changing role.
  • Are comfortable negotiating with counterparties, in a collaborative manner, to seek mutual agreement.
  • Can position themselves in role as consultants, facilitators and co-ordinators, able to guide and challenge without getting stuck into technical detail.
  • Are strong team players - collaborative but also able to show initiative and carry out tasks independently.
