About the role

Reckitt is looking for a Clinical Outsourcing Manager who is passionate about developing and nurturing connections while delivering high-impact results. Your responsibilities

- Act as the Outsourcing Manager for all clinical studies building effective relationships with study teams, ensuring agreed timelines are met

- Drive the outsourcing process by working with the Clinical and Quality teams to ensure selection of a suitable vendor that has both the methodologies and location to best meet the study and/or project requirements.

- Support the preparation of the scope of work (specifications of services), judging suitability of vendors, identifying and facilitating resolution of any business and legal issues and coaching cross-functional teams in the decision making process.

- Lead the overall commercial and contractual communication and negotiations as representative of Reckitt, with the vendor, securing the optimal contractual terms and conditions for the company.

- Ensure contract management including management of changes in scope and reconciliations.

- Report metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for outsourcing activities to the Clinical and Medical Leadership team, Quality & Compliance and the bigger R&D organization.

- Perform line management tasks for direct reports and others as required including team resourcing, targeted personal and technical development and training.

- Coach members of the Clinical team and other relevant stakeholders on best outsourcing practices and excellent vendor oversight.

- Collaborate with other regions and actively participate in the globalisation of the team.

- Responsible for the development, maintenance and governance of the Clinical vendor base.

The experience we're looking for

- Procurement experience or clinical development experience in a clinical or medical department in pharmaceutical/consumer healthcare/cosmetic industry or at a CRO or clinical vendor.

- Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a track record capturing value and savings.

- Clinical Outsourcing experience essential. Ideally within medicinal categories.

- Knowledge of GCP/regulatory standards would be advantageous.

- Line management experience would be advantageous but not essential.

- Contract development and management experience is essential.

- Strong computer literacy (Advanced Microsoft Skills).

- Uses fact-based decision making; leverages market data, spend analytics, and cost modelling to drive business decisions.

- Possesses good commercial acumen and negotiation skills; track record capturing value and savings in other environments.

- Broader sourcing knowledge, understanding of multi-step process and role of terms & conditions in managing corporate risk.
