This exciting opportunity will involve:

 

  • Taking ownership of a data domain from a data governance standpoint based on the strategy and goals defined by the data domain owner,
  • Ownership of the global policies, standards related to the domain,
  • Owning information in the Data Cataloge and Data Quality tooling to help drive the data governance agenda in a sustainable way,
  • Acting as the link between local market needs and domain standards to help ensure end to end visibility of the data domain and priority,
  • Acting as the SPOC for transformational initiatives relating to the data domain from a BU/Function standpoint

 

Manages data access / provisioning by:

 

  • Defining access permission plans,
  • Monitoring distribution of data from the domain,
  • Approving data provisioning to authorized users,
  • Supporting data users as a data domain SME,
  • Ensuring data access and provisioning comply with standards and controls,

 

 

Key Challenges:

 

  • Ensuring focus on data quality and data cataloguing in a sustainable way,
  • Build effective and strong working relationships with the different data stakeholders as well as business colleagues at Global, Area and Regional Level.
  • Ability to convince and influence regional data stewardship stakeholders to ensure that the global policies defined are followed effectively
  • Working with a large ecosystem of current and potential internal and external partner organisation to provide value to the organisation.
  • Ensure all initiatives are supported by a sound business case which identifies measures of success and is value based. Ensuring that this is fully supported and required actions to realise value are owned by the relevant stakeholders. 
  • Actively contribute to the development and implementation of the overall Global IT & Digital and Data & Analytics Strategy
