As the R&D Data & Analytics Systems Associate, you'll make sure that the right data is available to report on Product related information such as volumes of chemicals Reckitt uses and produces (REACh), working closely with colleagues from many different functions such as Regulatory, Manufacturing, Procurement, and IT. The platform covers Reporting & Analytics, Data availability and Data management for a wide range of topics. You'll be responsible for working with our business stakeholders and telling us where and how to improve the system, and helping the users get the best out of it.

 

Stakeholder & User connections:

  • Connect with the existing network of Reporting Champions to help them with any queries and issues, establish continuous improvement requirements and generally support them with the use of data for their reporting needs
  • Provide training and information to end users to make sure they understand and know how to use the data provided to them
  • Work hand in hand with the IT team to make sure nothing is broken and that improvement ideas are implemented
  • Work closely with the Regulatory community to ensure the data meets their requirements

 

Making the right data available:

  • You will be the SME (Subject Matter Expert) on the data and business processing rules needed to prepare the data for reporting requirements such as REACh, with that knowledge you will advise the IT team on new requirements, improvements, and fixes
  • Based on your knowledge of ERP and PLM data you work together with the IT team to investigate any data issues and where needed address data quality issues with the related source functions
  • As the SME, assess all planned changes to the Data Platform and the source systems (ERP/PLM) for impact and risk to the business  
  • You will monitor and report on data quality status and progress to share with Stakeholders
  • The project is implementing a Data Catalogue, you will play a key role in roll out and expansion of this tool for the business

System & Project activities:

  • Take business lead role in system updates and ensure these are implemented according to Change Control methodology
  • Lead the user acceptance testing workstream, write test scripts, coordinate SMEs testing activities 
  • Ensure complete and thorough system documentation is in place, in line with RB CSV protocol. This includes the periodic reviews of the system and ensuring all actions from the review are managed and completed on time
  • Together with the IT support team ensure issues are addressed within the relevant SLAs 
  • Ensure validation and change control is carried out correctly, particularly to satisfy regulatory & Reckitt requirements

 

You’ll succeed because… 

…you have a deep understanding of ERP and/or PLM processes and data and feel comfortable as the spider in the web between the functions involved. You understand how to take a business requirement and work with the IT team to implement changes in the Data & Analytics Platform. You have experience in working in a life science or consumer health environment and the quality mindset that comes with the industry.
