About the role
The Engineering Manager is a key member of the leadership team. In his/her role, he/she provides the technical and strategic direction of all technological development activities of the production site, through studies, proposals and implementation of factory investment projects ensuring the required production and expected standards. Furthermore, he/she supervises and ensures the effective operation of the plants, auxiliary services, maintenance, water supply, energy supply, wastewater treatment, all from the point of view of efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure the technological level of the factory, existing plants and new plants;
- Ensure the timely implementation of new projects;
- Ensure the testing of new equipment;
- Together with the Energy and Electrical Manager, play an active role in defining a plan aimed at implementing the most correct strategy regarding the energy sources and technology to be adopted and at increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable sources;
- Ensure the compliance with the H&S Italian law and internal policies for accident prevention and has responsibilities related to environment protection (waste reduction, emissions into the atmosphere, reducing external noise, ..).
The experience we're looking for
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
- At least 7 years of experience in a similar position;
- Good knowledge of legislation on health, safety at work and environmental protection and of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP;
- Excellent knowledge of English and Italian.
