Maintenance Mechanic II, ZIPP

Description

Primary duties:

• Performing mechanical and electrical preventive and predictive maintenance.  
• Troubleshooting and repair of a variety of complex processing and high-speed packaging equipment; primarily conveyors, pumps, valves and transport systems.   
• Ability to sanitary weld, fabricate and install various equipment, guards and piping.  
• Able to set up and operate vertical mills, lathes and grinders.  
• Flexibility and ability to work with fellow team members and other operations staff and management is critical.  
• Must be able to use independent judgment to solve problems. 

Job Requirements:  

• High school diploma or equivalent required.  
• Familiarity with, and commitment to, strict GMP standards and familiarity with FDA, MDA, EPA and HACCP standards.  
• Previous maintenance experience in a team- based fast -paced food or pharmaceutical processing or packaging environment required.   
• Journeyman Millwright Certification preferred.
