Planning Assistant

Description

Facilitate production operations by maintaining near term accurate schedules, printing, assembling and reviewing batch records, ordering materials for production, cost analysis and inventory metrics

Work collaboratively with warehousing, quality, operations, process engineering and material planners to supply production operations in a timely manner, avoiding downtime and providing clear instructions

Work collaboratively across departments for problem solving

Demonstrated problem solving and continuous improvement skills

Ability to write and speak in a professional business manner and perform mathematical calculations proficiently and accurately

Desire to learn and take on additional assignments to include cross training in other planning areas to provide enhanced departmental knowledge and vacation and other absence coverage for peers

High attention to detail required

Demonstrated strong core behaviors and ability to work well with coworkers

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or other technical discipline preferred

Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel.  Familiarity with APO, quality systems, Optiva, Microsoft Word and business objects strongly preferred

Minimum of 3 years experience preferred
