Technical Cell Associate

Reporting into the Shift Leader, this role involves ensuring the manufacturing of liquid used in our production operation with accountability and ownership to deliver the operational KPI's of the area. This role involves leading a small team and ensuring the manufacturing of liquid in line with production area demands. It involves working in, and being responsible for ensuring a safe working environment, ensuring protective clothing policies and Health and safety and Hygiene procedures are adhered to.

 

This role requires the ability to provide a level of technical expertise within a specific area to maximise the productivity and acheivement of targets to the team/plant, in a manufacturing enviroment that services a high-speed production environment (shift working).

Scope of Role

 

  • Providing technical line leadership and technical support for the area
  • Delivery against all safety SOPS, policies and procedures
  • Delivery against all Quality SOPS, policies and procedures
  • Following Process Instructions (manufacturing and packing formula)
  • Working to standard and best practice ways of working.
  • Participate in team problem solving activities and other non-standard activities
  • Building key relationships as appropriate (e.g. Shift Leader, Cell Associates, Man Techs, Maintenance Engineers, Project Engineers, Project Manager, EHS Manager, Site Services Leader, Lead Engineer; this may also extend to equipment and component Suppliers, Contractors and Sub Contractors)    

Skills & Qualities

 

  • Trained to a mechanical/manufacturing craft level, NVQ level 2 minimum
  • Experience in maintaining pumps/valves in a chemical/manufacturing environment
  • Batch chemical manufacturing experience in FMCG, Food, Chemical or Pharmaceutical environment
  • Analytical skills with drive to implement improvements
  • Awareness of quality/good manufacturing practice
  • Experience of a KPI focused environment and use of OEE
  • Supervisory experience is desirable
  • Strong IT skills
  • Experience in SAP would be advantageous
