About the role

We're searching for a forward-thinking IT & D Manager, Platform / Solution Architect to join Reckitt's IT & Digital team — a team acknowledged for keeping us interconnected in an ever-evolving digital landscape. Your role will encompass creating cutting-edge end-to-end solutions and strategising closely with business and IT stakeholders. Your responsibilities

Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the SRE team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Set clear goals, expectations, and priorities for the team to ensure the delivery of reliable and scalable services.

Google Cloud Platform Expertise: Demonstrate deep expertise in GCP services and tools, utilizing them to optimize infrastructure, automate processes, and improve system reliability.

Infrastructure Automation: Lead efforts in automating deployment, scaling, and management of our infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and GCP Deployment Manager.

Monitoring and Incident Response: Design and implement effective monitoring and alerting systems to identify and respond to incidents promptly.

Capacity Planning and Performance Optimization: Conduct capacity planning to ensure our infrastructure meets current and future demands. 

The experience we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an SRE or similar role, with a focus on managing Google Cloud Platform.
  • In-depth knowledge of GCP services, particularly Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and Networking.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
