This role is in the U.S. Hygiene Insights & Analytics team at Reckitt, leading insight work for Finish and Household brands.  This role will work with key leaders in U.S. Marketing, Sales and R&D to ensure the voice of the consumer is an integral part of delivering the business results and executional excellence.

By transforming data into intelligence and insights, you will expand the way people think about the business and proactively impact decisions.  Working with and influencing key leaders in U.S. Marketing and Sales will be critical to embed learning and drive decision making.


Reporting to the Director, I&A U.S., this role is responsible for uncovering insights and embedding knowledge that drives competitive advantage for the Finish and Woolite brands.  In this role, you are expected to act as a consulting partner to the Marketing and Sales teams.  This involves uncovering business challenges, developing a learning agenda, implementing research studies, interpreting results and building insights, and driving the learning to in-market action.  You will be expected to be a co-owner of the business, with an independent, fact-based, consumer-centric voice.


You’ll succeed because you will…

  • Be the expert on the U.S. Dish Care and Specialty Laundry consumer and champion consumer-centric decision making across the business.  
  • Share and embed understanding of consumer within the Marketing and Sales teams, up through management level.  Turn complex data into simple insights that can be activated to drive growth.
  • Have strong focus, involvement, and leadership in all business planning & execution, including communications, 4P execution, local innovation pipeline.  You will be an integral member of the business team, expected to contribute to the strategic planning by bringing a consumer lens to the identification brand-building activities that will drive penetration.  
  • Have a clear understanding of business objectives in order to develop, manage, and execute research plans to best meet them and the overall strategy of the brand and market.  Includes planning and management of research budget, in partnership with Director I&A and Marketing partners, as well as identification of innovative, agile methodologies.
  • Bring best-in-class communication effectiveness support. Provide input and feedback to creative briefs and copy development for TV and digital; recommend & execute appropriate research plans to explore and validate creative.  Connect to in-market learning to drive continuous improvement.
  • Track and understand consumer and category trends to enable brands to stay ahead, drive brand plans and actions in communications.
  • Provide high quality support to business partners by guiding interpretation of market research results, identifying patterns across studies, uncovering insight, and strongly contributing to practical action plans following research.

  • 5 years of Consumer Insights 
  • Proven track record in synthesizing learnings from multiple data sources, aligning multiple stakeholders to actionable strategic shifts and delivering recommendations to C-level executives 
  • Strong understanding of omni-channel media strategy and tactics as well as the suite of analytic solutions available to measure sales impact of media 
  • Marketing Mix, Nielsen Catalina Solutions, Multi-Touch Attribution, Matched Panel Analysis, Oracle Sales Uplift, Mid-Campaign Optimization measurement 
  • Experience and interest in digital marketing & measurement– keeping abreast of industry changes, platform/partner opportunities, measurement tools, etc. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate to transform measurement request into actionable, focused business questions that can be answered via syndicated analytics solutions 
  • Proven leadership skills including initiative, communication, creativity, bias towards action, and success even in the face of ambiguity  
  • Passion for & understanding of big data and its ability to drive insight and action within an organization 
  • Proven ability to effectively manage large-scale brand research and budgets  
  • Uncompromising commitment to ensuring data quality & accuracy 
  • Experience in working within a global leading FMCG matrix structured organization a plus 
  • Comfortable presenting data/analysis to top management and addressing comments/questions on-the-fly
