About the role

Do you have a knack for balancing budgets? As a Assistant Manager Trade Bugdeting, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all costs and expenses associated with Trade Marketing activities and analyzing the return on investment being generated with such activities periodically.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing trade marketing activities within the allocated budget; ensuring that actual expenditures do not exceed the trade budget.
  • Analyzing and reporting any variations in the actual trade marketing expenditure versus budgeted. 
  • Interact with key stakeholders (i.e. RSM, ASM, KAM, TSO etc.) and settle distributor claims amicably.
  • Manage the costing of trade promotions periodically, or as needed
  • Work with the Trade Marketing Manager for calculation of the Return on Investment resulting from trade promotion activities.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of key customers, identify the pertinent issues and suggest remedies.

The experience we're looking for

  • Educated to a Bachelors degree or Masters (preferably) level in Accounting & Finance, from a recognised institute
  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in a similar role working for an FMCG organization

The skills for success

  • Effective Communication: Maintain on-going communication with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical ability to analyze and rectify any fluctuations in Trade Marketing budgets
  • Familiarity with Accounting policies
  • Software skills:
    • Proficient user of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Proficient user of JD Edwards and SnD Pro software.
