About the role

This is a transformational leadership role. You will deliver an enduring positive change in the way in which R&D develops and delivers new products and the way the wider organization supports these product pre and post product launch. Working across Health and Hygiene, you will play a lead role in defining and managing the end-to-end business process for Packaging materials, from their creation to their retirement.

You will develop and deliver the process by which our Packaging materials portfolio is documented, optimized, and managed. To do so, you will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders, setting up and managing a cross functional community of practice which will include colleagues from Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety Assurance, Regulatory, Sustainability and R&D Health and Hygiene, amongst other functions. You will be part of a core team that will define the overall blueprint for Product Data Management and its subsequent implementation in the PLM solution.

 

Without this corner stone role, along with the Product and Raw Materials Business Process Lead roles, the other Business Proceed Lead roles will be ineffective and not make the significant benefits this business case promises to deliver.

Your responsibilities

- Provide transformational leadership to achieve a standardized, end-to-end Packaging Materials Management process across Health and Hygiene and own this process.

- Clearly define the scope of the Packaging Materials Management process and ensure that these interfaces are managed efficiently

- Define metrics for Data Quality that allows measurement of the improvement in data quality

- Validate the PLM solution that it correctly reflects the Packaging Materials Management Process as designed and lead change management thereafter.

- Working as part of the PLM Deployment team, communicate and implement the ‘to-be’ Packaging Materials Management process as part of the PLM solution.

- Provide transformational leadership to achieve a standardized, end-to-end Packaging Materials Management process across Health and Hygiene and own this process.

- Clearly define the scope of the Packaging Materials Management process and ensure that these interfaces are managed efficiently

- Communicate the Packaging Materials Management Process to the PLM team and work collaboratively with them so that it can be codified in the PLM solution.

- Working as part of the PLM Deployment team, communicate and implement the ‘to-be’ Packaging Materials Management process as part of the PLM solution.

The experience we're looking for

- Experience in leading teams and line management, you will build a team as required for the scale and scope of the role but also have the ability to influence in areas with no direct reporting authority.

- Advanced communication, influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to operate successfully in various team capacities and a multi-cultural environment, at senior levels and with external partners.

- Proven track record in defining and delivering change projects.

- Strong IT literacy with proficiency in the use of the MS Office product suite.

- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of corporate codes of conduct.

- A good understanding of the product lifecycle and of regulations impacting the FMCG sector.

- Working knowledge as a practitioner in several of the following areas: procurement of packaging materials, identification of fit for purpose Packaging material from suppliers, Specification Management, Packaging Material portfolio management, complexity reduction, Packaging Materials Management, Hand over to Manufacturing, Regulatory and Safety assessment as they apply to Packaging materials, sustainability in Packaging.
