Your responsibilities

 

  • Lead a culture of excellence within the function, championing the leadership principles of Reckitt and setting and modelling behavioural standards.
  • Communicate laboratory operational strategies at all levels, tailoring content to the laboratory team, site stakeholders, peers and senior stakeholders within the business.
  • Take an operational lead of infrastructure within the QC laboratory, using an equipment scheduling system to maximise the effectiveness of human resource on shift.
  • Manage the rostering of staff to ensure that all laboratory deliverables are maintained consistently throughout the year.
  • Ensure that sufficient training and root-cause problem solving skills are in place within their shift.
  • Lead the preparation of, and participate in Regulatory Authority inspections, acting as primary SME for their area, always maintaining audit readiness.
  • Manage performance and development of direct reports including establishing robust personal development plans, identifying and growing talent, and empower others via role specific coaching.
  • Ensure that robust technical cGMP, EHS and quality systems are in place and adhered to in within their function to deliver business objectives within required time and compliance standards.

The experience we're looking for

 

  • Degree level (BSc or equivalent) qualification in chemistry or similar field advantageous but not necessary.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Experience of working in pressured environments.
  • Strong Relationship building and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve, teach and mentor teams.
