About the role

As an R & D Category Assistant at Reckitt, you will thrive in our fast-paced environment alongside a team of expert scientists dedicated to ensuring product safety and efficacy. Your meticulous attention to detail, technical curiosity in problem solving and collaborative approach will be crucial in supporting and delivering New and Existing product developments.

 

This role, based in our Air Care team, will focus on end-to-end device development on our liquid electrical products.

Your responsibilities

  •  Implementing formulation/device feasibility work, analysis, validation, stability testing, industrial trials and dossier preparation.
  • Work cross functionally with other internal teams, such as marketing and supply to accomplish shared objectives.
  • Read, understand and apply SOP/GLP protocols with regards proper operation, standardisation & maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and ensure all activities conform to legislative and Health and Safety requirements, as well as following good housekeeping requirements and lab best practices.
  • Produce lab samples and samples for consumer testing, performance tests, stability tests, claims support for marketing claims.
  • Be able to manage implementation of New and Existing Product Developments under supervision of R&D associate or manager. 

The experience we're looking for

  • Degree Qualified in a Scientific or Engineering discipline.
  • Scientific minded with good analytical skills.
  • Good organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and communicate risks.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good formulation knowledge and understanding of chemical interactions. 
  • Knowledgeable with basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench.
  • Ability to interpret results from lab tests though statistical analysis of testing data.
