About the role

The role will work with other members of the Corporate Strategy team to support the Head of Corporate Strategy and SVP Strategy & Corporate Development in development and execution of Reckitt's overall group strategy and high priority strategic initiatives. This is distinct from the individual business unit and functional strategies, and focuses on corporate-level, cross-BU initiatives. The Corporate Strategy function works closely with and supports the needs of the CEO and the Global Executive Committee.

By its nature the role incorporates some degree of flexibility and adaptability, based on the questions or issues that are high priority - therefore, the precise initiatives are not set in stone, but as an example will encompass the following themes:

  • Growth: working alongside the business units and other functions to enable and ensure the success of major growth initiatives, particularly those in new spaces or those that sit across GBUs
  • Cost: working with the Finance function on the long-term financial plan, including the target cost structure for the group, and the path to get there
  • Portfolio: directly supporting the CEO, CFO and SVP Strategy & Corporate Development in active portfolio management (e.g. analysis of the 'long tail' of small non-core brands and determination of divestment strategy; identifying potential acquisition targets, at macro-Group level or at BU level e.g. to target a particular demand space)
  • Strategic planning process: working with BU Presidents and the Finance function to develop the longer-term financial outlook and aggregated articulation of Reckitt's long-term group strategy.

Your responsibilities

  • Support the execution of strategic projects to deliver robust data, analysis and insights to support decision-making, communicating these in an effective way
  • Develop concrete, practical recommendations for the business
  • Collaborate with other members of the Corporate strategy team, along with stakeholders across the business, within GBUs and Functions to gather input as required and support their needs
  • Support in the preparation of Board and GEC strategy materials as required, as well as other strategic communication materials for internal or external purposes
  • Stay abreast of local industry, competitive, and regulatory trends, gathering competitive intelligence and insight and developing a point of view on implications for Reckitt

The experience we're looking for

  • Experience in strategy consulting in a top-tier consulting firm with 3+ years' experience
  • Experience in strategy development and implementation (either at business unit or corporate / portfolio level)
  • Experience in navigating large corporate environments to successfully deliver projects
  • Experience in successfully engaging with senior / executive leadership and exposure to managing external stakeholders
