This is a high-profile role within our supply finance organisation. As the Supply Europe Finance Manager, you will help bring clarity on the numbers with clear understanding of the underlying drivers across all our European markets. You will ensure the Finance Operating Model is delivered, fully understood by, and embedded in the Supply Service area of the business to achieve their objectives through effective and cost-efficient business operations.


Supporting the Health Supply Europe Finance Director in delivering quality planning, forecasting & management reporting which facilitates timely strategic decision making, both on short- & long-term basis. You will own the development and implementation of reports and tools for the European Supply Service team with a clear focus on process improvement and eye for detail.


With a focus to partnering with the wider European team, and working closely with the market supply service teams, the key accountabilities will be:


  • Accounting and reporting:
    • Ensure the region submission deadlines for monthly results, forecast and plan(s) are met
    • Offer insightful analysis on the financials and suggest implications on business performance 
    • Monitor monthly region performance of freight, warehouse, commercial inventory variances and embellishment costs against plan/forecast and report on major anomalies
    • Provide structured analysis support and adhoc reports such as cost movement, stock provisions, etc for decision making
    • Work closely with regions to ensure that Supply Service projects are being delivered
    • Lead the Europe Supply Services monthly reviews with the markets and the SSD
    • Productivity lead for all SS projects, ensure compliance & tracking is regularly updated. Involved in regular meeting updates, challenging teams & ensuring a pipeline of projects into future years
    • Work with procurement to share freight updates & any other inflationary impacts to the markets 
    • Input LV & mid-month updates for SS as well as the other COGs lines (PPV, FX, EPR) With deep dives required when appropriate

  • Capabilities, Systems and Processes:
    • Facilitate Write off approvals/changes
    • Work closely with countries during deployment to ensure local teams have the knowledge to support the key Supply service program activities and Global changes
    • Develop new capabilities as required to improve reporting process (Power BI, Anaplan, etc.)
    • Act as an advocate for the standardization of global business processes, data, and systems within the Supply service areas 
    • Facilitate best practice sharing across countries globally, support markets finance team in the correct implementation of supply finance policies.


  • Planning and budgeting:
    • Lead the Europe Supply Services planning and budgeting reviews with the markets and the SSD
    • Work together with Market Supply Services controllers for the preparation of the Region Supply Services plans, 3/5 years plans and strategic supply sourcing.
    • Assist in data collection and analysis to support presentations on proposed strategic initiatives; assist SSD in target setting and tracking, aligned with the goals of the set tasks.
    • Review with each market along with SSD to understand their proposed construct and challenge appropriately.

Business Partnering:

  • Business partner within Supply Finance, SSD & Market SS controllers
  • Attend SSLT monthly meeting
  • Connection b/w factories and SS team/ support on WO file
  • POC to SSD's and Finance teams
  • Various project lead/coordination
  • Works with other functions outside of Supply (BU FP&A, Group FP&A, Category Finance, Finance Shared Services, Tax and Treasury).

Professional qualifications/experience:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, CA/ ACCA or equivalent 
  • Approx. 5 years of relevant work experience within Finance/Accounting
  • IT capabilities: MS Office suite (strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation), SAP, JDE, HFM, Cognos knowledge is desirable.
