This role is accountable for the operational delivery of Product Group(s) and Platforms within their Product Stream. Required to lead, plan, direct and control all activities related to Service Management, Service Integration and Technical Operations. Accountable for day-to-day service operations and performance

This role takes responsibility for defining the operational processes that enable the end-to-end value delivery of the Products within their scope. They will have a deep understanding of the product-based operating model, translating both the Product Stream Strategy and the Product Stream Data & Analytics strategy to increase data adoption and streamline operations processes. They are responsible for the cost-effective delivery of Products within their Product Stream, acting as a critical stakeholder in key cost-facing decisions made by the Product Group Managers within their stream. They maintain oversight on the Product Lines within their portfolio, working closely with the Product Stream Portfolio manager to prioritise and identify opportunities where Products can increase operational efficiency.


This role will assume the overarching responsibility for supporting the head of Product Groups and Platforms to ensure smooth operations of the stream. They will ensure discipline in managing and optimising the product based operating model within the stream by leveraging ways of working set by the O-CIO. This will include testing, application maintenance, proactive monitoring, L&T onboarding, compliance orchestrations and housekeeping. They will oversee the end-to-end support operations provided by near/offshore managed services for the given products groups and/or platform taking care of ITIL services for L2 and L3 support organizations.


The role also incorporates a level of portfolio management together with the portfolio specialists. They will provide with an analysis of these data allows to make the best possible use of all resources and deliver the maximum value and benefits from products, assets, suppliers, and projects/programs within the portfolios. They will advise and provide recommendations for identifying, prioritising, and coordinating resources engaged with all or many of the elements of the IT&D program portfolio.

This role will lead reviews of any significant portfolio elements on a periodic basis and on demand if they are challenged. Provides visibility on trends and forecasts versus plans and provides recommendations as to whether elements should continue as-is, be significantly changed, placed on hold, or discontinued. Makes decisions and recommendations for the portfolios that are clearly linked to stream strategy, objectives, and goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics. Ensures and balances the availability of the required skills, competencies, and budget across teams within the product portfolio



You’ll succeed because… 

you will provide oversight in the Products’ run/maintain/sustain phase to deliver the committed Product business value and leads development of operational aspects for a Product Group(s). You will work with Services Ops (in CTO Function) to define and manage core operational processes for the Product Stream e.g., BCP, Recovery, Incident Management. You will drive the Intelligent Operations journey to drive proactive monitoring/fixes to minimise business disruption across products, platforms, processes, and data. You are passionate to drive our Automation agenda to continually optimise business process efficiency through technology. You will monitor, measure, report and review current performance of services and components in the enterprise technology environment and ensure technology capacity meets business needs. You will manage cost-effective delivery of Products on-going OPEX costs, including license cost optimisation (with Platform Owner) and work with supplier teams to ensure coordination of product changes without impacting Product consumers and business processes.
