About the role

At Reckitt, we're looking for a Mechanical Patent Attorney to become the cornerstone of intellectual integrity and innovation within our business. Your responsibilities

In summary, you'll:
- Craft and manage comprehensive patent and design strategies to protect Reckitt's disruptive technology.

- Conduct risk assessments and create mitigation plans to ensure market competitiveness. Managing and advising on worldwide patent and design matters
- Collaborate closely with the Business, providing intellectual property guidance and support.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships across the organisation, positioning yourself as a key business partner.
- Drive the legal process optimisation, ensuring compliance and corporate governance throughout.

The experience we're looking for

- Qualified patent attorney status: European Patent Attorney and/or UK Patent Attorney.
- Experience in mechanical engineering subject matter, including drafting and freedom to operate opinion work, registered design work, gained either within private practice and/or in house.
- Subject matter expert in preparing drafts for non-complex mechanical inventions. 
-  Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven capability in managing diverse task loads within demanding timelines.
- Aptitude for risk management, compliance, and integrity in all corporate engagements.
- Strong communication skills woven with a solutions-focused, continuous improvement mindset.
