About the role

As Reckitt's Financial Controller, Canada you will have a critical role in delivering clarity and direction to financial operations worldwide. Your responsibilities

Ensuring robust controls are designed, implemented and operating effectively across Reckitt Canada

Reviews Balance Sheet reconciliations, manages reconciliations database for all within Reckitt on monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Leads Balance Sheet fluxes and Reviews with group and external auditors

Prepares & Monitors Controls Scorecards, leads monthly review with Market & Regional Controllers. Leads remediation of any issues identified via KPIs/Scorecards

Reviews/Prepares Plan & Forecast collaborating with financial teams, consolidates & reports monthly results. Proactively highlights areas of risks

Contributes to M&A activity including transitional period and integration and responsible for the disposal of minor brands as identified by the business

Ensuring correct accounting treatment in line with the IFRS standards and for any irregular transactions and processes. Leads monthly consulting reviews with Group Accounting & Controlling teams at company headquarters

Works closely with the Tax team to ensure accurate tax reporting
The experience we're looking for

Recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA or equivalent)

Minimum 8-10 years practice / industry experience

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Senior Manager from big 4 Audit Firm or Head Office Group Accounting Role

Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal controls is essential

Knowledge of Hyperion, JDE and SAP advantageous

Significant proven experience of accounting and reporting for an international organization, preferably UK or US listed and in a related sector.

Experience in other areas of finance such as commercial business support, manufacturing, etc. desirable

Strong knowledge of Canadian tax and its reporting is preferable

Working knowledge, or experience with, Canadian payroll is preferable

What we offer
US salary ranges
CAD $143,000.00
- $215,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
