About the role

The Demand Analyst has a new role within the central Connected Planning structure which will enable the delivery of a best-in-class baseline forecast for the commercial business. The role will be pivotal in utilizing an innovative technology being implemented across Reckitt. From setting up New Products forecast algorithms, to ensuring the proper forecast models are being used, the successful candidate will be an expert in statistical modeling, using E2E planning tools, and collaborating closely with the demand planning teams to ensure the forecasting output to the commercial business is reflecting in-market trends. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Work hand in hand with our system experts to ensure all IT capabilities are utilized in the journey to predict the sales trends
  • Receive requirements for setting up and maintaining product sku’s within the forecasting tool
  • Prepare statistical forecasts across the assigned portfolio to help maintain a strong baseline forecast
  • Establish a weekly process of using exception-based planning reports to adjust forecasts as necessary, holding to the thresholds of RB’s KPI
  • Hold bi-weekly consensus meetings with respective demand planners to address any changes to the statistical models
  • Use the analytical, marketing, and sales data of an item/customer/brand to effectively estimate future product demands for a tactical (1-6 months) and strategic forecast (7-24 rolling months)
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy
  • Monitor and report on significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance
  • Have the autonomy to challenge when necessary

The experience we're looking for

  • University degree or students of last year of University (preferably in Econometrics, Statistics, Logistics)
  • Experience in Demand Planning/ Forecasting area, preferably in FMCG company
  • Strong analytical & mathematical skills; statistical knowledge will be an asset
  • Very good English, allowing easy communication in everyday work
  • Being self-driven and pro-active
  • MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency
