About the role

We’re looking for an IT & D Senior Manager / Expert who is ready to thrive in one of the richest data sets in the industry and drive transformational impact. Your responsibilities

  • Oversee the technical resources allocated to the squads within the products allocated to the delivery manager in line with the strategic direction set by GBUs and other Reckitt central functions incl. IT&D. They provide support, supervise staff, and provide direction and mentorship in tech support and service delivery.
  • Oversee the Scrum Master(s) allocated to the squads to ensure that the ceremonies, backlog grooming, retrospectives are effectively being carried out (incl. the 30-70 split)
  • SPOC from a D&A standpoint in managing stakeholders within D&A as well as outside (e.g., GBUs/ market representatives, IT&D) to ensure that there is a single channel of communication from a D&A standpoint
  • Works closely with Product Owners on designing the product roadmaps and feeding into the product backlogs
  • Works closely with the Product Manager(s) to ensure that the messaging, demands, priorities, budget, capacity and delivery are fully aligned
  • Works closely with the Product Manager(s) and the product squad to problem solve and develop mitigating solutions for potential bottlenecks 
  • Ownership of the financial budget to run the squad across people, infrastructure, licensing from a D&A standpoint
  • Drives activities to ensure adoption of the deployed products within GBUs/markets and central Reckitt functionsWorks closely with the D&A chapter leads/delegates to review quality of resourcing, future demands to be prepared better and in line with strategic business/functional priorities
  • Ensure that projects and products are regularly delivered according to Agile methodology.
  • Maintain timelines and budgets across initiatives.
  • Foster a cooperative, creative, and effective work environment and team performance.
  • Works closely with Solution Architect and Data Product Manager to ensure that from a D&A standpoint, all needs are effectively covere

The experience we're looking for

  • Strong background of 10+ years in delivery management roles (data specific delivery preferred)
  • Ability to lead on a range of Agile and Lean tools and techniques. 
  • Provide coaching on these tools and techniques in and outside of the team if needed. 
  • Ability to ensure that working practices are iterated to achieve effective delivery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context. 
  • Advocate on behalf of a team and communicate what it does, to create trust and authenticity.
  • Ability to support effective budget management within the constraints of an initiative
  • Ability monitor projected budgets against expenditure and participate in planning and forecast cycle to be future driven
  • Ability to understand the different phases of product delivery and can contribute to, plan or run them. 
  • Ability to maintain a product or process through the delivery phases, into live and then into retirement. 
  • Capability to lead a team through the different phases of the product delivery life cycle. 
  • Ability to understand incident management and service support to ensure that products are built effectively.
