About the role
Reporting to the Site Director, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for performing and initiating all activities in support of environmental/safety and security initiatives. Manage all site employees involved in EH&S activities. This would include all aspects of employee management such as environmental, health, and safety oversight, safety mentoring, embracing change, being persistent and having determination to sustain a safe and healthy work site.
This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and industry best practices.
- Serve as the site subject matter expert for occupational health, safety, environmental compliance, and risk management.
- Partner with Site Leadership to establish EHS objectives, priorities, and performance targets that support business and operational goals.
- Build and sustain a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, employee engagement, coaching, and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Human Resources, Supply Chain, Regional EHS, and Global EHS teams to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations, projects, and business processes, while implementing corporate standards, management systems, strategic initiatives, and best practices to drive consistent EHS performance across the site.
- Maintain a visible, hands-on presence throughout the facility by conducting safety observations, inspections, audits, and routine field engagement activities.
- Lead site risk assessment processes, including hazard identification, Process Risk Assessments, and implementation of effective risk controls.

The experience we're looking for
- Solid background in global Health and Safety, particularly within supply chain operations of multinational businesses.
- Deep understanding of international Health and Safety regulations applicable to the supply chain context.
- Successful track record in rolling out Health and Safety initiatives.- Exceptional leadership capabilities and a history of influencing positive change within global teams.
- Skilled communicator with robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Four year college degree preferably in Environmental & Safety but not required. At least five to eight years experience as an environmental/safety professional or similar background is required.
The skills for success
Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field required.
Experience: 7-10 years of EHS experience, including at least 3 years in a site leadership or management role.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
