Within Sales, we're focused on achieving outperformance across all of our channels, operating in highly competitive categories. This focus results in a dynamic, fast paced environment where cross functional teams are encouraged to collaborate to achieve success.

We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

Reporting to the Sales Director at Reckitt, the Junior Key Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and fostering strong relationships with key accounts. This position requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a keen understanding of market dynamics.

Your responsibilities

  • Key Account Management: Cultivate and nurture relationships with key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for all sales-related inquiries and initiatives. Understand each account's unique needs, objectives, and challenges to tailor solutions and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with the Sales Director and cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies that align with overall business goals. Identify growth opportunities within key accounts and develop action plans to capitalize on them.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with key accounts to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Monitor contract compliance and address any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop accurate sales forecasts and plans for key accounts. Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze variances, and adjust strategies as needed to drive results.
  • Market Analysis and Insights: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences within assigned accounts. Use market insights to inform sales strategies, identify opportunities, and mitigate risks.
  • Promotional Activities: Collaborate with marketing and trade marketing teams to develop and execute promotional activities and campaigns within key accounts. Monitor the effectiveness of promotions and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders within assigned accounts. Anticipate customer needs, address concerns proactively, and act as a trusted advisor and partner.

The experience we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in key account management or sales within the consumer goods industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and derive actionable insights.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on delivering value to customers and driving business performance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CRM software, and sales analytics tools.

US salary ranges

USD $95,400.00  -  $145,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
