The Buyer is the main representative of the Procurement function within the manufacturing site, being the link between the factory, Global Procurement and Suppliers, working together with Category Leaders to assure harmonization between Local and Global Strategies. The Buyer should ensure implementation of projects driven by Procurement, Supply and Category for the site, in line with the Global Procurement strategies, contributing to growth and maximizing profitability. Have a very good understanding and control of the spend at the production site will prove essential for the monthly and quarterly review and communication of PPV (Purchasing Price Variance) and Productivity KPIs.
Responsibilities:
- Support Factory and Procurement with preparation and construction of Plan and Forecast.
- Spend monitoring, analysis, and identification of saving opportunities.
- Track changes in PPV vs Plan and/or Forecast (FC01, FC02, FC03), identifying main drivers and present action plans communicated by Global Procurement and/or by them for local/delegated items.
- Support all cost-improvement efforts (Cost Avoidance, Savings, etc.).
- Support as needed the P2P process for PS Raw materials in the factory.
- Coordination of/attendance to meetings and calls with Suppliers and stakeholders as required.
- Support with clear and fast execution of the defined action plan to solve Quality and/or Service issues affecting their factory.
- Support Factory and Procurement with annual Vulnerability Tool assessment.
- Support to build, develop and improve the project pipeline based on spend and V-Tool analysis.
- Be the local leader of Procurement projects and support execution of all other PS Raw projects in the factory.
- Benchmark with other Reckitt and non-Reckitt (external) factories to identify saving or co-buying synergies.
- Ensure implementation of new suppliers for the factory (NPD, EPD, BCP, PPV and Squeeze projects).
- Maintain, measure, and report the applicable PS Raw KPIs (PPV, Productivity, NWC, OTIF, VPR, Dashboard, Scorecard, etc.)
- Support contract management for global categories, and lead contract negotiation for local and delegated Raw materials.
- Prepare relevant PS Raw reports and present to local regional and global stakeholders as needed.
- Be the SME in PS Raw process, guiding and supporting the factory stakeholders in the way of working, sharing best practices, and seeking for continuous improvements.
Qualifications:
Have 3+ years of experience in Procurement and Project Management
Obtain a Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business, or other related disciplines; an MBA would be advantageous.
Bring high-level negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
Possess knowledge in e-tools such as Ariba
