About the role

Your responsibilities

1. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely documentation with US Customs, FDA, and USDA, and provide guidance on government regulations and policies.

2. Code and Procedure Maintenance: Maintain proper HTS codes, Schedule B codes, FDA codes, valuation, country of origin, and entry/export procedures.

3. Supplier Coordination: Work with suppliers to ensure correct import documents and appropriate transportation methods for goods entering the USA.

4. Customs Broker Interface: Collaborate with the MJN customs broker to ensure accurate US Customs and FDA filings and release documents.

5. Freight and Tariff Management: Resolve freight payment discrepancies, provide root cause analysis, and manage tariffs, contracts, classifications, discounts, and accessorial charges.

6. Internal Support and Communication: Act as a point of contact for MJN associates for export/import shipments, communicate order status with warehouse logistics, and ensure timely production and shipments in SAP.

7. Invoice Auditing and Order Management: Audit invoices from freight forwarders, manage order quantities and timing, and respond to inquiries regarding order changes and shipment timing.

8. Process Improvement and Relationship Building: Reduce order fulfillment cycle time, recommend business process changes, communicate ideas effectively, and establish strong internal and external relationships.

The experience we're looking for

• Associates Degree or greater preferred
• 2+ years transportation or distribution experience
• proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 
• SAP experience strongly preferred

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
