Your responsibilities
- Complete all maintenance and repair tasks as directed by Facilities management through the CMMS system.
- Monitors, operates, adjusts, maintains, and repairs building systems and equipment for assigned facilities as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues in a production environment including, but not limited to: HVAC, drains, VFD’s, pumps, motors, airflow diagnostics
- Perform preventative maintenance including, but not limited to equipment inspections, filter changes, belt changes, motor replacements and HVAC overhaul.
- Perform assigned chiller maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in a manufacturing/processing setting
- Experienced in troubleshooting and servicing glycol, screw, absorption, and reciprocating chillers
- Assist manufacturing representatives, Project Engineering, Contract Engineering, and departmental personnel on new equipment installation.
- Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to troubleshoot equipment systems
- Provide input for planned equipment maintenance and perform outage work during nonoperational hours.
The experience we're looking for
- Be able to work Monday through Friday on first shift with rotating on-call
- Universal EPA certification
- Have a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Technology (or equivalent), plus at least three (3) years of verifiable industrial HVAC and chiller field experience
- Basic electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration skills/theory knowledge
- Strong acumen in chillers, cooling towers, boilers, RTUs, split systems, VRF systems, refrigeration, controls, central exhaust, and other building mechanical systems.
- Have strong team oriented skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Be a self-starter, be able to work effectively with minimal supervision, and good organizational and planning skills
- Be willing to learn new job-related skills and have good troubleshooting and analytical skills
- The ability to regularly move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
