About the Role

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•          Develops and communicates an impactful vision and strategy for clinical research program to support MJN vision and business growth.

•          Reviews, plans, allocates and manages resources for biostatistics and data management aspects of clinical research programs to support business objectives.

•          Acts as a representative of R&D to MJN audiences at multiple levels through a variety of formats to influence sound business decisions.

•          Utilizes critical analysis to solve complex issues and develops solutions to ensure departmental goals are aligned with overall business objectives.

•          Provides technical guidance in the application of biostatistics and data management to ensure the reliability of the overall MJN clinical research programs.

•          Proactively identifies and recommends science and technology approaches to enhance competitive advantage and support business growth.

•          Effectively utilizes networking relationships with key customers/opinion leaders (internal/external) to influence statistical thinking and utilization of research methods so that actionable results are obtained in support of business objectives.

•          Facilitates career development opportunities to leverage individuals' capacity and drives succession planning process to enhance organization capabilities.

Knowledge Desired

•          Mastery of statistical methods and practice, data management, and computing as related to clinical research and product development.

•          Knowledge and understanding of the role of clinical research in the development of new and/or improved nutritional products.

•          In-depth understanding of effective networking and how to influence others.

•          In-depth knowledge of consumer product/special nutrition industry as well as MJN key product offerings.

•          Knowledge and understanding of how financial principles, budgeting process, resource planning and allocation impacts achieving project and departmental objectives.

Qualifications

•          At least 5 years of experience in statistical analysis of data obtained from clinical trials.

•          At least 5 years of experiences of experience with clinical trial methodology particularly as it relates to study design, data processing, statistical analysis, and reporting.

•          Experience working in the nutrition or pharma logical industry preferred.

•          PHD in biostatistics preferred

US salary ranges

USD $115,000.00  -  $173,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
