Your responsibilities

•    Train on the process control system and become familiar with all aspects of the system and its applications.  This includes the process control system as well as all other related instrumentation.
•    Receive training and learn the procedure for metering and weighing raw materials into a mixing tank on a batch or continuous method at an exact rate.
•    During production runs, operator shall monitor all processes and inventory of various products and raw materials.
•    Become familiar with alarms and their control points including temperature, taking required action when necessary. 
•    Be familiar with and understand control system applications and trouble-shooting techniques and procedures.
•    Understand the product flow and function and operation of equipment
•    Perform raw material check weighing, check scanning and consuming prior to use in processing using the WINS System.
•    Maintain accurate records of all materials weighed, staged, and used in a batch of product utilizing the GWINS and SAP systems.
•    Monitor certain processes and inventory of various products and raw materials following written procedures and the Manufacturing Batch Record.
•    Perform complete standardizing function which includes performing vitamin and/or spiking calculations, generating appropriate weigh sheets, weighing of raw material additions, and addition of vitamins and/or spikes to bulk product.
•    Recognize any equipment failures or differences in product appearance.
•    Follow written procedures and directions to control flow of product through various stages to meet manufacturing instructions and equipment requirements as specified by the process control system or through manual instruction or operation.
•    Become familiar with the Reverse Osmosis water equipment and its alarms; be able to start or switch the primary and back-up booster pumps and their supply piping.
•    Prepare and/or approves necessary paperwork.  This includes, but is not limited to, MBR calculations and sign-offs, master sanitation sheets, and preventative maintenance/ work orders.
•    Perform the necessary line circuit and tank hook-ups, and operate the programmable Clean-In-Place units to clean and record appropriate processing equipment. Troubleshoot line circuits to evaluate the cleaning process and offer recommendation on repair or correction of problems.
•    Understand the purpose of each chemical detergent used in cleaning procedures and must be aware and take precautions against safety hazards when handling chemicals. 
•    Operate Clean-Out-Of-Place tanks to clean gaskets, pipes, etc. Use porta-washer or foamer to clean processing equipment.
•    Be able to hook-up appropriate strong waste lines to pump product from various process centers or tanks to the strong waste tank utilizing the control system.
•    Check information both quickly and accurately, the ability to follow work instructions in practical work related settings, the ability to apply basic rules of arithmetic as well as demonstrate the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve mechanical issues.
•    Perform other duties as assigned and notify appropriate personnel of any unusual situations.

•    Physical requirements, (bending, lifting up to 100 lbs., etc.)
•    Computer knowledge (e-mail, training programs, RB learning center, etc.)
