Senior Nutrition Scientist

Description

The Senior Scientist is a member of the Global Nutrition Science team, providing nutrition science expertise to help bring global innovations in pediatric nutrition to market, and advising on nutrition science. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to facilitate development and implementation of nutrition innovation projects for infants and children.
• Provide scientific input on claims development, substantiation, and review. 
• Monitor and evaluate nutrition science landscape, ingredient, and technology opportunities.
• Determine science-based nutrition profiles for new and improved products.
• Identify, lead and/or contribute to nutrition research that addresses business needs.
• Effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
• Effectively communicate across technical and non-technical audiences internally & externally.
• Network with technical community to support innovative technologies and scientific advances. 

Position Requirements:

• Ph.D. in nutrition or related discipline with excellent general knowledge of nutrition.  Additional relevant experience may be considered in combination with M.S. degree.
• Experience in pediatric nutrition preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to develop effective working relationships and networks with culturally and technically diverse groups.
• Ability to function as a nutrition science representative in cross-functional teams, prioritize responsibilities, and deliver a full range of results under tight time constraints.
• Capable of identifying and driving the application of nutrition science to generate positive business results.
• Excellent writing, reporting, and presenting skills.
• Strong competency with Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point).
