Action EU S&OP lead
Description
1. Responsible for leading the local country S&OP process for all brands of customer “Action” present in currently 4 countries: Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France.
- This will require working closely with local Marketing and Sales Action to ensure we deliver excellence to our customers, making them aware of the promos and we optimize our supply chain.
- This will require also solving any rescheduling issues per country with sales/supply lead Action EU and local sales of land in case distress risk occurs
The S&OP leader is the owner of the forecast per country, maintaining the models for the brands and incorporating information gathered to ensure customer service levels are being met. In addition, you will be responsible for delivering results for KPI’s of forecast accuracy and Inventory by driving appropriate actions within the supply chain.
2. Responsible for supply planning coordination
- Control factory production planning and supply
- Inventory management: make sure inventory level is under control and stock is at target
- Represents ACTION customer in different meetings with Central planning
- Raise distress list to factories and work with them to mitigate risks
- Working with the log and local mktg functions to deliver SL objectives to Action and manage the development and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and processes aligned with service objectives. Also working closely with the customers

In this role, you will
- Prepare and lead the country S&OP meetings for customer Action.
- Interact with local sales and marketing to understand demand forecast drivers and coordinate cross-functional activities to reconcile variances. Ensure awareness of WD build up (opening stores)
- Manage and maintain forecast models for a certain group of brands incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing and finance.
- Manage all NPD/EPD launches into the business with the support of local Marketing, Sales and Supply teams including contingency planning and preventing issues in advance
- Facilitate and coordinate activities between factories/central planning and commercial on a day-to-day basis or for specific issue to meet demand forecast and customer expectations.
- Monitor factories production plans and manage inventory levels to optimize investment and minimize obsoletes/slow-moving
- Control portfolio complexity to ensure a healthy level of success
- Identify and implement supply chain process enhancement/efficiency opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Analyse service drivers and leads improvement initiatives to deliver best-in-class service performance
- Reports weekly KPI’s for country Service Level
- Short stock management, including allocation of critical items per country
- Liaises with account managers (internal / external) to provide customer insights and identify opportunities supply chain structures to ensure effectiveness of processes
Skills and Competencies:
- Experience in statistical/data analysis/forecasting techniques
- Ability to handle competing priorities and tasks, remain organized, and meet deadlines
- Ability to define the problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and presentation skills.
- Commercial skills are an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and influence effectively externally but also internally across multiple departments and levels, and to work effectively as part of a team or on own initiative
- Min. 3 years of experience preferably in an FMCG environment
- Knowledge of SAP/APO or other software related to demand planning & S&OP
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Fluent in English
