About the role

In this pivotal role, you'll champion our digital vision, ensuring our platforms are nothing short of exceptional when it comes to scalability, security, and innovation. Your role is more than managing systems; it's about inspiring transformative ideas that shape our digital landscape. Your responsibilities

- Spearhead IT platform strategy and ensure it's in harmony with our overarching business goals.
- Oversee the IT & D platform portfolio, maximising efficiency and effectiveness of resources.
- Uphold governance, ensuring our platforms meet the strictest standards of compliance and quality.
- Assess platform performance against key metrics, driving continuous enhancement.
- Research IT trends to inform strategic improvements and champion tech advancements.
- Foster robust relationships with both IT teams and business units, ensuring a cohesive digital strategy.

- Team Leadership: Leading a team of platform developers, architects, engineers, and other professionals within the team both internal and external.
- Platform Development: Overseeing the design, development, and deployment of the platform, including defining technical requirements and architecture. Ensuring guardrails are in place and the team is following the processes laid down by the CoE and vetted by Cyber, Audit and other overarching teams.
- Maintenance and Support: Ensuring the platform’s stability, security, and reliability by overseeing regular maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitoring the platform’s performance and identifying opportunities for improvement, such as scalability and efficiency enhancements.
- Budget Management: Managing the platform’s budget, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Vendor Management: Managing relationships with third-party vendors or service providers related to the platform delivery. Working with vendors in anticipating and planning for ramp up and ramp downs in the team. Also working closely with them on contractual obligations, contracts signing and financial cross charges.
- Data Security and Compliance: Ensuring the platform adheres to data security and regulatory compliance standards, such as GDPR or HIPAA, if relevant.

The experience we're looking for

- Proven experience with IT platform management and oversight.
- Track record in project or programme management, with a flair for design thinking and innovation.
- Skilled in change management, adept at managing technology adoption and stakeholder relationships.
- Keen understanding of digital strategy, product solution architecture, and cyber security.
- Ability to analyse data governance and product compliance, with a focus on delivering tangible market value.
