About the role
As an R&D Operations Associate you'll merge your scientific skills with technical know-how and work collaboratively across functions to expand your expertise. Embracing the opportunity to hone your leadership abilities, you’ll play an integral role in project delivery. Your influence will shape not just the products we bring to the market, but also the future trajectory of our budding leaders.
Your responsibilities
- Lead projects to ensure launches are on time, within budget, and meet defined success criteria.
- Assume leadership for low-to-medium risk R&D projects in relevant category, ensuring the implementation at regional/local level by ensuring all required formulation, feasibility work, analysis, validation, stability testing, industrial trials and dossier preparation are performed on time and to the required internal and external standards and market conditions
- Reviewing of trial and other technical documents.
- Ensure effective implementation of and adherence to the requirements of the local Quality Management System to meet global QMS standards.
- Implement global product initiatives with R&D Product Development and other R&D teams.
- In key R&D Operations site(s) of each category, assume TPL responsibility when project leadership is assigned, based on an agreement with R&D Product Development
- Guide assistants or technicians to help them develop, reflecting your evolving leadership journey.
- Communicate efficiently with supervisors and cross-functional teams, keeping everyone informed and aligned.
- Build and share your technical expertise in our product portfolio, embracing Reckitt's innovative spirit and operating models.
- Prepare a project plan with timeline alongside the Project Management team for all technical activities to be performed
- Work on formulation development.
- Ensure project briefs are reviewed/completed and resources are allocated as per plan.
- Keep a good track of the activities versus the plan, keep the key stakeholders informed about the progress and issues, and manage changes to preserve the commitment.
- Proactively engage with local commercial organizations in relation to consumer complaints, quality issues, competitor challenges and legal/regulatory inquiries concerning technical matters relating to products marketed within the region.
- Proactively engage with Supply function regarding technology and product expertise, for production start-up, quality improvements and cost savings projects.
- Proactively engage closely with Marketing organizations (local/regional) to provide technical expertise and required business support to evaluation (Portfolio Management) and execution of commercial initiatives and projects.
The experience we're looking for
- Solid background in R & D, or related areas like Regulatory, Safety, Quality, or Supply.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with a proven track record of successful delivery of technical projects in a FMCG company
- Technical knowledge and expertise in 3-5 Aerosol technology
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects and a history of successfully meeting delivery targets.
- Independent work style, complemented by strong problem-solving and organisational talents.
- Strong formulation knowledge and understanding of chemical interactions that would allow to work on different categories
- Communicative and influential, you're a team player who knows how to get things done.
- An affinity for innovation and improvement, challenging the norm when needed.
