About the role

As a Consumer Safety Associate, you’ll be a vital part of our commitment to safeguarding our customers. Your responsibilities

As part of a team of technical experts in GHS ensure the creation of high-quality GHS documentation to support safety and labelling classification of Reckitt products throughout their product lifecycle.  This will include oversight and/or creation of high quality safety datasheets and supporting GHS documentation to support the safety and compliance of Reckitt products. You will contribute and provide technical support to leaders in Reckitt related to the classification and labelling of Reckitt products and ensure changes and impact assessments following changes in regulations are communicated in a timely manner to stakeholders, other responsibilities include:

 

•    To proactively work with global teams to drive accurate safety labelling of Reckitt Products.  The individual will be responsible for ensuring that the Company safety standards are met for the creation GHS documentation. The individual will also take responsibility for REACh registration compliance in accordance with chemical legislation.
•    As an expert within Consumer Safety, which is part of the Regulatory and Safety Function within R&D, you will ensure delivery of timely, high quality safety output. 
•    The role will be a contributor and a subject matter expert within the safety organisation with good technical knowledge regarding the classification and labelling of consumer healthcare products. 
•    Follow scientific and regulatory development in the field of GHS product safety to keep abreast of the external environment.
•    Actively contribute to the development of policies, guidelines and working instructions related to GHS.

The experience we're looking for

•    BSc or higher degree preferred in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and/or a related science with extensive industry and/or regulatory experience in product stewardship, REACH or in the creation of GHS documentation.
•    Good working knowledge of REACH, GHS and associated guidelines
•    Strong understanding of systems and processes used to produce classification and labelling of Reckitt products
•    Good analytical and interpersonal skills
•    Good understanding of Reckitt systems and processes.
•    You are self-motivated with strong initiative and drive and able to ensure the delivering of consistent and high-quality safety assessments to support the safety of Reckitt products
