The purpose of this role is to lead the formulation and process development sciences team within the R&D Health portfolio, including the operational leadership of the R&D pilot plant and formulation laboratory, covering the management of facility and equipment availability, compliance, and procedural suitability, alongside the scientific/expert leadership of the formulation and process sciences function. 
The R&D Formulation & Process Development Senior Manager will take a leading role in shaping healthcare product development approaches and activities, from initial design to scale up for commercial production sites, partnering with R&D Category Development, Supply Technical and the wider R&D team to ensure delivery of the NPD & EPD pipeline. 

You’ll succeed because… 

• You maintain expert knowledge in dosage form development, pilot plant operation best practice and procedures, and when required, will represent Reckitt in external forums. You ensure the product formulations and manufacturing processes are sufficiently robust through the application of QbD principles within formulation sciences.
• You lead your team to identify and apply innovative manufacturing technologies and dosage form designs, undertake process development and scale-up for NPD, and guide formulation design. You will coach the team to provide expert input and oversight to maximise the chance of success.
• You partner with the business to support the growth and success of the formulation and process development teams through the development and implementation of an equipment investment plan for the Science and Innovation Centre, maintaining a fit-for-purpose quality management system, and developing a team of experts who work cross-functionally to seamlessly deliver planned manufacturing trials. 
• You are a strong leader; encouraging your team to strive for excellence through collaborative working, training initiatives and continuing professional development.
