About the role

As a Consumer Safety Senior Associate at Reckitt, you can make a tangible impact on product safety and consumer trust. In this role, you'll take the lead on significant projects, showcasing your industry expertise and strategic acumen. It's an opportunity to work autonomously and collaborate with diverse teams, driving innovation and excellence.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage pivotal projects independently, enhancing the safety and integrity of Reckitt's products.
  • Critically evaluate and contribute to vital safety documentation, supporting risk assessment and management processes.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently regarding safety matters, ensuring risk minimization throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives, such as regulatory writing for authority responses.
  • Help maintain a culture of safety and vigilance from product conception to post-market activities.

The experience we're looking for

  • BSc or higher degree preferred in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and/or a related science with extensive (minimum 5 years) industry experience in the creation of GHS documentation particularly Safety Data Sheets.
  • Product safety or chemical management experience in a similar position with a good working knowledge of the REACH, CLP and Product Stewardship preferred.
  • Working knowledge of down-stream user responsibilities related to the communication of safety information via the eSDS is preferred. Training will be provided.
  • Good organisational and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships internally and externally with customers and suppliers
  • Strong understanding of systems and processes used to generate the classification and labelling of Reckitt products and associated Safety Data sheets including the ability to manually classify complex mixtures based on their BOM and raw material classifications
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of Reckitt systems and processes
  • Be forward thinking and proactive in communication of changing hazard profiles and implications of REACH evaluation and Restriction activities
