You will proactively work alongside multidisciplinary functions to contribute to the development of safe sustainable Reckitt Products throughout their product lifecycle. This role will have global responsibilities by working in partnership with other safety managers to represent and fulfil the responsibilities of the Global Consumer Safety Function, whilst also:
- Ensure Environmental Risk Assessments for Consumer products marketed globally are performed in accordance with the company Policies and guidelines.
- Provide Environment Safety input across Reckitt’s Categories to support the product lifecycle and ingredient selection.
- Provide appropriate governance and oversight to ensure delivery of timely, high quality safety output
- Accountable and responsible for the training and mentoring of toxicologists to continuously develop their technical expertise and Reckitt safety led competencies
- Follow scientific and regulatory development in the field of environmental safety by active participation in relevant external bodies and meetings as appropriate to pro-actively address and implement new knowledge and standards where applicable.
- Represent Reckitt interests in the area of Environmental safety with government agencies, industry associations and other organisations as directed.
- Development of internal environmental process and procedures across all categories.
You’ll succeed because…
As an experienced Manager in Environmental Toxicology, you'll enjoy building teams and sharing your knowledge to improve results. You'll have:
- BSc and preferably PhD in Toxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Ecotoxicology or related field
- Experience with environmental risk assessments, data interpretation for consumer products., and use of consumer modelling tools, e.g. OECD, QSAR
- Working knowledge of global safety-relevant regulations
- Experience in monitoring eco-toxicological tests
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written forms, good business acumen and interpersonal skills
- A results-oriented mindset, whilst also being entrepreneurial, a critical thinker and self-motivating.
- Experience in working in multi-functional and multi-cultural teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
