About the role

As the Packaging Manager you will be responsible for all Technical Packaging activities within the factory/supply area for which you will lead. In this role you will be working with the Site leadership team to deliver local objectives & Cross site / Global Packaging community to deliver synergies and drive best practice for Reckitt.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Prioritise and Manage the packaging budget & resources
  • Driving Change and Developing Culture by creating robust working practices and a can-do culture within the team.
  • Driving Performance by leading the team to achieve site objectives related to people, safety, quality, service and cost.
  • Leading the approach and execution of Packaging validation to support regulatory compliance & Delivery of growth through flawless execution of all packaging related aspects of NPD technical transfer, EPD and cost optimisation projects.
  • Coach and develop packaging team to deliver KPIs, improve individual & team capability and develop succession plans.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Packaging project Plan is aligned cross functionally, budgeted for and delivered on time
  • Work with Packaging leadership team to drive best practice and synergies cross site/category
  • Key member of Site leadership team, supporting development and delivery of site masterplans. •
  • Provide SME Support to operations, quality and engineering in the resolution of any issues affecting current business involving packaging components or equipment.

The experience we're looking for

 

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Packaging development and validation
  • Significant experience of Pharmaceutical / FMCG Industry experience
  • Track record of leading / developing teams
  • Knowledge of UK, EU and FDA standards and legislation and its impact for packaging
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence at multiple levels
  • Good understanding of Packaging manufacturing, decoration and printing processes.
  • Good understanding of risk management / root cause analysis.

 

Technical\professional qualifications required:

  • Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
