Team Leader will have the accountability to drive the customer strategy for specific categories for Costco.  Playing a key role in the Sales team, you will oversee the achievement of customer and channel plan while managing a team. Team Lead of Costco is expected to provide the highest level of strategic pre-sale planning and post-sale customer support focused on executing business growth plans as set by the Sales Leadership Team and driving our client’s KPIs, as well as mentor the Account Management team to do the same.

•    The Team Lead will set the bar for superior customer service resulting in the flawless execution of their campaigns against the client’s KPIs
•    This role requires a high degree of customer focus, standards of communication, numerical analysis, multi-tasking and leadership
•    Hire, train, coach and mentor Account Managers
•    Assist with pre-sale and own post-sale operations support for the direct sales organization
•    Enhance account team and client knowledge, build strategic account plans, and drive a sales strategy
•    Understand the data and use that data to “tell a story” to a client through reportable insights, wrap up reports, quarterly business reviews, etc
•    Develop and maintain excellent customer relations, acting as a point of contact for existing customers both direct and via media agencies and agency trading desks
•    Recognize upsell opportunities; lead and influence clients to invest when opportunities arise
•    Support the Account Executive throughout the sales process by being an active participant on client meetings, navigating and navigating key internal steakholders
•    Be an expert in the vertical you work on and understand all challenges not only within that vertical, but the industry as a whole
•     Guides others multi-functionally in the management of customers
•    Articulates and shapes financial impact of decisions.
•    Establishing an environment supporting the achievement of common objectives in a wider business relationship and is able to resolve issues, while still achieving business objectives
•    Is able to network effectively with other functions and develops in others the ability to manage relationships
•    Constantly adds value by developing and improving sale processes to improve performance

•    Financially Strong: P&L Responsibility with emphasis on Trade Investment, Gross Margin, Forecasting, IBP 
•    Good Negotiator: Negotiation experience; formal training a + but not necessary
•    Client facing comfortable working in a client-facing role in a fast-paced environment with frequent pressure to prioritize work and meet deadlines- Direct Costco Selling Experience
•    Great Communicator: written and verbal communication skills that are effective across the organization
•    Analytical: ability to understand the business trends and provide projections based on that insight
•    Organized: Has the ability to personally organize and plan effectively, as well as for the team being managed
•    Problem Solver: Possesses the ability to think creatively to address new issues and identify business building ideas doesn’t wait for someone else to give the answer; takes charge and feels ownership
•    Strategic: understand components of selling opportunities and be able to articulate at a client level with a working knowledge of Consumer-packaged goods industry and distribution networks


The base salary range is specific for the location of this role and will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.  In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
